All About LiPo Batteries
Why We Use LiPo Batteries
You may have noticed that many of our products use LiPo Batteries. Contrary to what you may have heard, LiPo batteries are extremely safe and reliable and they pack a lot of power in a small package which is what we need in smaller props. Because of this, they are much better than “coin cell” batteries and they are rechargeable. By following a few simple rules, you will be able to use your LiPo batteries many times and get consistent power throughout the charge of the battery.
The first rule is do not let your battery get too low on charge! This is the most common mistake that happens. If your battery becomes too low, it will die and not be able to be recharged. I always suggest setting a timer on your phone to remind you to turn off your prop when it is not being used after your show or after practice time. If you have found that you have drained a battery, I do have a system programmed into my electronics that may be able to bring back batteries from the “dead”! If you would like more information on how to charge batteries for my products and how to possibly revive a dead battery, please click here. I have resurrected many batteries that I thought were useless using this method. It does not work all the time, but hey, why not give it a try!
The second rule is keep your batteries charged even when you are not using them. All types of batteries slowly drain over time and it’s the same way with LiPo batteries. If you are not using them, be sure to charge them about once every 6 months or so to keep them from draining. Again you can find general charging instructions and more charging information here.
Are There Other Ways To Charge The LiPo Batteries?
Yes! All of my products come with an onboard charging system. However, if you would like to charge multiple batteries faster, you may want to purchase extra chargers. They are very inexpensive and easy to use. Just search for one of these on the web: (I did not post links to these items because these links change frequently, it is best to just do a search for them on Google, or on Ebay)

Where Can I Get Extra Batteries?
You can purchase extra batteries many different places such as RC Hobby Stores and online, also I sell batteries here. Many times you will be able to purchase batteries much cheaper than what I can sell them for. Also, some postal restrictions may not allow me to ship batteries to your country if purchased separately so it is best if you can find them locally. I can usually find them on Ebay or at Hobby King. Just search for:
160 mAh 1S 30C 3.7 Volt LiPo battery
Or you can find the LiPo batteries that came with your product here in our store. Please note: We can not ship LiPo batteries outside the USA unless we are shipping them with a product. Please use the search information above to purchase batteries in your country. They are widely available on the web and if you have any questions about a battery, just ask!!
Also, when searching, check to be sure the plug matches the one on your current batteries. You may come across a higher mAh value, and that will work, but it may change the size of the battery. The battery will start to get larger as the mAh value goes up. You can use a larger battery, but it may not fit into the product you are using. So if you are ok with the battery hanging out of the product, you can use a larger and longer lasting battery. Also the “C” rating can vary from 25 to 40 (or higher) and that is ok. If you have any questions about if a certain battery will work, feel free to contact me via the form below:
