The Difference Between the Deck TR and ITS
I am asked this question quite often so I hope this information will help you!
The Deck TR is mostly made for close up performances because the motor pod is hidden in a playing card deck. So that way this electronic thread reel can be on the table or near by you as you perform and it does not look suspicious. You control it by using a small hand held remote that is similar to a key chain remote for a car. With the remote you can start the playback of your program, set to ITR mode, or work it live (at 1 set speed). You can also remove the motor pod from the Deck Box and extend it to where you would like to have it, such as in your shirt pocket, up a sleeve, or around a stage prop. Even though the Deck TR is mostly for close up, you can also use it on stage, such as making a silk fly off stage or into a case. You could also put a silk in a bottle and have it dance and then fly out to a case where the Deck TR motor pod is located. There are many variations and situations that you can use the Deck TR and it is very versatile.
The ITS is a 2 motor pod system that is controlled by a hand held remote. This remote is larger than the Deck TR remote but is still small enough to conceal in your hand or pocket. The remote controls both motor pods together or each separately and is wireless. With the remote, you can program the motor pods, or you can work them live. The 2 main differences between the Deck TR and the ITS is that the ITS remote can control the speed of the motors and the Deck TR remote does not. The second main difference is that it controls 2 motors and the Deck TR only has one. With the ITS you can have a back and forth flight of a silk or light weight object, the Deck TR would only pull an object one way, such as fly it off stage or to a box. The ITS is great for stage and closer situations such as cabaret or parlor and you can use both motor pods or just one, and the motor pods can be extended away from the cases for more flexibility.
